The Grand Lodge of France

The Grand Lodge of France occupies a heavy, stone-faced building on Rue Puteaux marked by two granite pillars flanking the main entrance. Behind these doors, the organization manages hundreds of Masonic lodges. In nineteen twenty-four, the building was converted from a Russian Orthodox church into a site for Masonic rituals. Before the transition, the space held religious services for refugees fleeing the Russian Revolution. Now, members gather here to debate, perform ceremonies, and maintain traditions that date back to the eighteenth century.
