The Rond-Point des Champs-Élysées is marked by six fountain basins designed by the brothers Jean-Michel and André Wilmotte. It sits at the intersection where the gardens of the Champs-Élysées meet the city grid. During the nineteenth century, this traffic circle served as a fashionable gathering spot for the Parisian elite to see and be seen. In nineteen zero four, the aviator and industrialist Marcel Dassault built his headquarters nearby, eventually leading the city to attach his name to this busy junction.
