Lucienne Noublanche worked as a seamstress in this suburb, and when she died in nineteen seventy-eight, the town named this plot after her. It sits on the site of a former laundry, where workers once scrubbed and dried clothes for families living in Paris. The concrete basins remain buried beneath the flowerbeds and the children’s play area today.
