The Espace culturel d’Anglemont occupies a jagged, slate-colored structure that slices into the street corner with sharp angles and expansive glass walls. Built in nineteen eighty-four, this venue replaced a local cinema that burned down years earlier. It serves as the town hall annex and a public theater, housing the archives of Les Lilas within its basement levels. During the construction, workers uncovered stone foundations that suggested the site held small agricultural outbuildings long before the city expanded into this suburb.
