TANT PIS POUR LA GLYCINE

cultural

The iron gate marked Tant pis pour la glycine hides a private garden where the wisteria once famously collapsed under its own weight. Years ago, the climbing vine grew so heavy that it dragged the original stone wall down with it during a storm. The owners decided to leave the tangled remnants where they fell instead of clearing them away or rebuilding. Twisted branches now weave through the broken masonry, turning a moment of structural failure into a permanent, overgrown sculpture of wood and rock.
