Synagoge Friedberger Anlage

The Friedberger Anlage synagogue stands out for its curved, red sandstone facade that marks a sharp break from the surrounding residential blocks. Completed in nineteen oh seven, this building served the Adass Yeshurun community, a group of Orthodox Jews who prioritized strict religious observance. During the November pogroms of nineteen thirty-eight, the interior was gutted by fire, but the outer walls survived. Today, a plaque serves as the only witness to the community that gathered here before the deportations began.
