Kaiserplatz

Kaiserplatz features a bronze fountain sculpture depicting a lively group of children frolicking with a goat. This public square sits at the intersection of major banking thoroughfares, functioning as a deliberate break in the dense office towers of the financial district. In eighteen seventy-three, the city planners laid out this space to celebrate the founding of the German Empire. Its centerpiece, the Froschbrunnen, survived the heavy aerial bombardments of the second world war, unlike most of the historic buildings that once enclosed it.
