MAIN TOWER

The Main Tower in Frankfurt stands out for its curved, blue-glass facade that reflects the city skyline in shifting patterns. Completed in the year two thousand, it functions as a corporate headquarters for Landesbank Hessen-Thuringen. During its construction, workers uncovered the foundations of a medieval tower belonging to a thirteenth-century defensive wall. Instead of clearing the site entirely, the architects integrated the ancient stonework into the modern lobby, leaving the old masonry visible beneath the steel and glass floors of the high-rise.
