The Deutsche Bank Twin Towers consist of two connected high-rises clad in dark, reflective glass and steel. Completed in nineteen eighty-four, these towers serve as the headquarters for Germany's largest bank. Architects designed the structure to occupy the former site of the Hotel InterContinental. During the nineteen seventies, the bank faced stiff opposition from local residents and urban planners who feared the project would overwhelm the Frankfurt skyline. Engineers resolved this by angling the twin facades to reduce the visual bulk of the towers.
