Kleinmarkthalle frankfurt

other

The Kleinmarkthalle is a long, flat concrete building with a facade of rhythmic, arched windows that faces the street. Inside, the stalls hold butchers, bakers, and produce sellers who have operated here for generations. The site served as a postal depot before the city transformed it into an indoor market in nineteen fifty-four to replace the historic stalls lost during the war. It remains the primary place in Frankfurt where people buy green sauce ingredients and local meats directly from the producers.
