religious

The Dreikönigskirche features a tall, slender sandstone tower that rises sharply above the surrounding rooftops of the Innere Neustadt. These citizens gathered here to negotiate with the city council, demanding democratic reforms and the release of political prisoners. Their persistence inside these walls helped shape the peaceful transition that eventually led to the end of the German Democratic Republic.
