The Kurlander Palais stands out with its bright, butter-yellow facade and the ornate, curved balcony projecting over the main entrance. Built in the seventeen twenties for Count August Christoph von Wackerbarth, the palace served as a private residence before becoming a hub for the Dresden nobility. During the bombing of Dresden in nineteen forty-five, the building burned to a hollow shell. For decades, the ruins sat vacant until a private investor rebuilt the structure entirely from scratch, finishing the project in two thousand eight.
