The shop occupies a corner of Kucha Mahajani, identifiable by the crowd of people eating standing up while balancing small leaf plates. Prem Narayan Gupta started selling these lentil fritters here in nineteen seventy-eight. He kept his menu to two items: dahi bhalla and aloo tikki. The recipe for the spiced yogurt remains a guarded secret held by the family today.
