Lolark Kund

natural

The stone steps of Lolark Kund descend sixty feet below street level into a deep rectangular tank. It is an ancient solar shrine, built of weathered masonry that feels far removed from the city bustle above. Every year, thousands of pilgrims descend these stairs, seeking help for skin diseases or blessings for childbirth. The water here stays dark and still, fed by natural underground springs that have drawn people to this specific basin for centuries.
