The Shri Panch Dashnam Juna Akhara carries a distinct, gritty energy, marked by a massive, weathered gateway tucked deep into the narrow lanes of Bangali Tola. This is the headquarters for one of the oldest and largest orders of Naga sadhus in India. These warriors renounced their worldly lives centuries ago to defend their faith. While other parts of Varanasi hum with tourism, this courtyard remains an austere, closed world where ascetics maintain an ancient, militant tradition of spirituality and discipline.
