The Yad Ben Zvi building sits behind a stone wall in the Rehavia neighborhood, distinguished by its low, modest profile and the wooden shack tucked into its courtyard. This site served as the private residence of Yitzhak Ben Zvi, Israel’s second president. While he held the highest office in the land, he insisted on living in this simple cabin, which he brought from his kibbutz. He received world leaders and diplomats inside that cramped wooden space, keeping his focus on scholarship and community.
