Takada Family House

The Takada Family House features a low, tiled roof and a gate reinforced with heavy wooden beams, sitting tucked away in a quiet neighborhood. This was the home of a samurai family serving the powerful Maeda clan of the Kaga Domain during the Edo period. Inside, the rooms follow traditional layouts designed for both family life and the formal requirements of samurai duty. During the building's restoration, workers uncovered original structural timber hidden beneath modern walls, revealing the house's long, lived-in history.
