Maeda Tosanokami-ke Shiryokan Museum

The Maeda Tosanokami-ke Shiryokan Museum sits behind a traditional earthen wall, distinguished by a clean, white-plastered facade that reflects the design of a samurai residence. This site served as the primary home for the Tosanokami branch of the Maeda family, who governed this region for the shogunate. Toshitsune Maeda, the third lord of the Kaga domain, established this branch for his seventh son. For generations, this family held the responsibility of maintaining the delicate political balance within the powerful Kaga domain.
