The Kuboichi Ototsurugi Shrine sits behind a dense stone wall, marked by a massive, weathered torii gate that stands apart from the newer structures nearby. It serves as the local guardian for the Shimoshincho district, housing the spirit of the mythical prince Yamato Takeru. According to local legend, the prince stopped here during an ancient campaign to pacify the region, washing his sword in a nearby spring.
