GINZA PLACE

The white, latticed facade of Ginza Place wraps around the intersection like a ceramic lace skin. Designed by Klein Dytham architecture, the structure uses thousands of aluminum panels meant to echo the traditional craft of Edo Kiriko cut glass. While the building holds showrooms for Nissan and Sony, its shape comes from a desire to capture the light and movement of the street below. Before this tower opened in twenty sixteen, the site held the old Sapporo Lion building, a staple of the Ginza district.
