Chhusya Bahal

Chhusya Bahal is marked by an ornate, carved wooden gateway that features intricate lattice windows and a heavy, dark timber frame. Built in the seventeenth century, this courtyard serves as a traditional Buddhist monastic complex for the local community. In the late eighties, the structure was abandoned and stood in decay. A restoration project eventually replaced the rotting foundations and preserved the original woodwork, which now houses a small shrine and continues to function as a quiet space for local neighborhood rituals.
