Patagonia Chocolates - Ice Creamery & Chocolaterie

Patagonia Chocolates features a floor-to-ceiling glass wall that puts the chocolate tempering process on display for anyone passing by on the sidewalk. Alex Gimenez and Lorena Gialdi opened this shop in two thousand and five after moving from Buenos Aires. They brought recipes for dulce de leche and traditional South American chocolate techniques to Queenstown. The counter is lined with rows of hand-painted truffles, while the smell of roasting cocoa beans often drifts out through the front door.
