Księgarnia pod Globusem occupies a building on Długa Street marked by a large, ornate metal globe perched above the entrance. This bookstore opened in nineteen twenty-eight in a space designed by architect Franciszek Mączyński. During the nineteen thirties, the shop served as a meeting point for local writers and intellectuals who debated the latest literary trends amidst the floor-to-ceiling shelves. Today, the store remains a working bookstore, maintaining its historical interior features even as new titles fill the same wooden cases.
