park garden

The Ogród Profesorski hides behind a high stone wall on Jagiellonska Street, marked by an iron gate that usually stays locked to the public. Professors once used this private space to grow vegetables and herbs for their kitchens. In the late nineteenth century, botanist Józef Rostafiński gathered seeds here to preserve rare plant species during the city's rapid expansion.
