Coeur De Lion

The Coeur De Lion is the smallest pub in Bath, marked by a narrow, three-story stone facade squeezed between larger buildings on Northumberland Place. Inside, the floor space barely accommodates a handful of small tables and a short bar. It takes its name from Richard the Lionheart, a nod to the medieval history woven into the city center. The current structure has served ale to locals and travelers since the middle of the eighteenth century, operating as a cramped, singular escape from the surrounding streets.
