Sally Lunn’s Historic Eating House & Museum

The timber-framed facade of Sally Lunn’s Historic Eating House leans slightly over North Parade Passage, marked by its blackened beams and leaded windows. This building dates back to the late fifteenth century, making it one of the oldest in Bath. A French refugee named Sally Lunn opened her bakery here in the seventeen eighties. She became famous for a brioche-style bun, baked daily in the basement hearth. That same hearth remains, and the kitchen still serves the bun according to her original recipe.
