King's Parade is the street where the tall, intricate stone towers of King's College Chapel rise directly above the sidewalk. This stretch of road holds the massive entrance gate to the college, where Henry the Sixth first ordered the construction of his grand chapel in fourteen forty-one. Workers spent over a century finishing the project, enduring the rise and fall of kings and political chaos. Its final stone roof remains the largest fan-vaulted ceiling in the world, built stone by heavy stone.
