The Titanic Memorial Garden

park garden

The Titanic Memorial Garden contains a bronze plaque listing the names of all one thousand five hundred and twelve people who died when the ship sank in nineteen twelve. It sits on the grounds of Belfast City Hall, arranged in a quiet layout of five tiered sections. When it opened in nineteen twenty, the memorial stood alone. It was the first site in the world dedicated to those lost at sea, paid for by public subscriptions from people across the city.
