Frolic Room

The Frolic Room wears a neon sign that cuts through the dim boulevard with a long, glowing arrow pointing down at the entrance. It sits right next to the Pantages Theatre, a remnant of the era when the theater was the home of the Academy Awards. Frank Sinatra and Judy Garland used to slip out the stage door for a drink between ceremonies. The bar still keeps their photos on the wall, tucked among decades of dust and cigarette smoke that never quite cleared out.
