The Palace Grill features a distinctive, bright yellow facade that stands out against the surrounding brickwork on East Cota Street. Since nineteen eighty-five, this restaurant has served Cajun and Creole dishes to Santa Barbara residents. A photograph of the original staff from that opening year still hangs near the entrance, showing the faces of the people who first brought blackened redfish and jambalaya to this corner. It remains one of the few spots in the city that has maintained its menu for decades.
