Martin Luther King Junior lived here for the first twelve years of his life with his parents, grandparents, and siblings. His father, Reverend Martin Luther King Senior, purchased the home in nineteen oh nine. King Junior recounted falling from the porch during a childhood scuffle, leaving a permanent scar on his leg from the tumble.
