The Bon Marche Arcade features a distinctive cream-colored facade with intricate terracotta detailing that stands out against the surrounding Hay Street storefronts. Built in nineteen hundred and ten for the department store chain Bon Marche, it served as a glamorous shopping thoroughfare connecting Hay Street to Murray Street. While the department store eventually moved out, the arcade remains a rare example of Edwardian commercial design, retaining the original skylights that flood the narrow walkway with natural light even after over a century.
