The Blue Room Theatre

cultural

The Blue Room Theatre sits inside the back of the Perth Cultural Centre, marked by a plain, recessed entrance tucked away from the main thoroughfare. It operates out of the old Perth Boys School building, a nineteenth century structure of limestone and brick. In nineteen ninety-four, a group of actors moved in to secure a space for new, experimental works. They cleared out the dusty rooms themselves, keeping the name from the blue-painted walls they found inside.
