Winchester Hotel and Winchester Hall

The Winchester Hotel stands out for its high, red-brick Victorian facade topped by a distinct, rounded corner turret. Built in eighteen eighty-eight, the structure served as a luxurious destination for travelers arriving by rail. In nineteen oh two, a major fire tore through the interior, forcing a complete reconstruction of the upper floors. Today, the building survives as a rare piece of late nineteenth-century hotel architecture in Toronto, housing a mix of residential apartments and local businesses behind its weathered exterior.
