The brick facade at the corner of Church and Maitland houses the Steamworks Baths. It occupies a space that once served as a warehouse before its conversion into a bathhouse in the late nineteen seventies. For decades, this building has provided a dedicated space for men to congregate, operating continuously through the height of the AIDS crisis and the various social shifts of the Village. A heavy iron door sits near the entrance, a remnant of the structure's industrial origins.
