Kohtuotsa viewing platform

The Kohtuotsa viewing platform juts out from a limestone retaining wall atop Toompea Hill, framed by a pair of crooked birch trees. It sits on the site of a nineteenth century mansion destroyed during the Soviet bombing of Tallinn in March nineteen forty-four. Where the Von Üxküll family once walked their private gardens, the city opened this terrace to the public. Graffiti covers a wall nearby, reading The Times We Had, marking the spot as the city's favorite place to watch the sun set.
