Museum of Estonian Architecture

The Museum of Estonian Architecture occupies a long, low building of pale limestone with a distinctive red brick smokestack rising from its center. This structure served as the Rotermann salt storage facility starting in nineteen oh eight. Salt was essential for preserving fish for export, and this massive shed held the imported loads that fueled the city's economy. Today, it contains architectural drawings and models, holding the blueprints of the city itself within a warehouse that once stored its wealth.
