Stalker Pathway

Stalker Pathway cuts through the block between Raekoja plats and Müürivahe Street with a narrow, high-walled character that separates it from the city's wider thoroughfares. It takes its name from the Stalker family, who operated a business here in the nineteenth century. Before the passage became a public route, it served as a private courtyard for the mercantile activities of the German-speaking merchant elite. Iron gates anchor the entrance, marking a transition from the open square into this tightly enclosed stone corridor.
