Pelouse de Reuilly

park garden

The Pelouse de Reuilly is a vast, flat expanse of lawn that sits at the edge of the Bois de Vincennes. In the late eighteen hundreds, this ground functioned as a centerpiece for the Colonial Exposition, where crowds gathered to view pavilions representing French territories. The area now hosts the annual Foire du Trone, a massive traveling funfair. Every spring, the silence of the grass gives way to the mechanical roar of roller coasters and the scent of fried dough from hundreds of stalls.
