The square Georges-Méliès features a circular layout with a central lawn surrounded by rows of young trees and paved paths. It sits directly above the tracks of the Petite Ceinture, the abandoned nineteenth century railway that once circled Paris. Before the city converted this space into a public park in two thousand twenty-one, the site remained fenced off for decades. Today, the square serves as a bridge between the street level and the sunken remains of the city's transit past.
