Square Villa Sainte-Croix

Square Villa Sainte-Croix sits behind a gated entrance on Rue de la Jonquière, marked by its unusual silence compared to the busy seventeenth arrondissement. It is a private dead-end street lined with small, nineteenth-century houses that feel pulled from a village rather than a metropolis. These residences were built to house the staff of the nearby Cité des Fleurs. While the rest of the neighborhood modernized, the residents here fought to keep the original iron gates and cobblestones exactly as they were.
