The four-story ochre townhouse on the corner of Rue d'Orchampt stands out for its curved facade and the heavy iron gate tucked away from the main tourist paths of Montmartre. This was the home of the singer Dalida for twenty-five years. She bought the building in nineteen sixty-two, eventually converting the space into separate apartments while keeping the main floor for herself. The neighbors still recall her late-night arrivals, usually accompanied by the quiet hum of her silver limousine pulling against the curb.
