The Acoustic Gallery features a facade of matte black steel and sound-absorbent panels that deadens the street noise before you reach the front door. It began as a private experiment by a retired sound engineer named Marcel Dupont who wanted to host chamber music concerts in a room with zero resonance. He spent three years lining the interior walls with industrial acoustic foam. Musicians rarely play there today, though the heavy, silent atmosphere remains locked inside the building even when it sits empty.
