Parc de Bercy

Parc de Bercy features limestone walls and metal rings embedded in the pavement that once secured wine barrels. Before this landscape became a public park in the nineteen nineties, the site functioned as one of the largest wine trading centers in the world. Merchants received shipments from the French provinces by boat, stored them in warehouses, and sold them to the city. The park preserves these historic traces while covering thirty-five acres with terraced gardens and rows of ancient trees.
