Square Jean Morin sits tucked behind the modern structures of the Bercy district, distinguished by its raised wooden boardwalks and rows of tall, thin birches. The park takes its name from a local soldier who fought in the French Resistance during the second world war. Before the city reshaped this entire neighborhood in the nineteen nineties, these grounds were part of a massive wine warehouse district. The tracks of the former Bercy railway station once ran directly where these quiet paths now wind.
