The facade of La Petite Academie in the Batignolles neighborhood features a bright, oversized mural of colorful paint brushes and whimsical characters. It serves as an art studio for children and adults, occupying a space that once functioned as a neighborhood boutique. Sophie Laroche founded the center to emphasize the creative process over the final product. Inside, students fill canvases with oil paints and sculpt clay, often following the instruction of local artists who maintain studio space on the upper floors.
