Paris Expo Porte de Versailles

Paris Expo Porte de Versailles sits on ground that once held the Thiers Wall, a massive defensive fortification built in the mid-nineteenth century to protect the city. When the wall was dismantled, this expansive stretch of land was repurposed to host the Foire de Paris, the city's largest retail fair.
