The Passerelle Pierre-Truche connects the Presqu-ile to the opposite bank with a single, slender span of steel. It sits low over the Saone, designed to carry only pedestrians and cyclists across the water. The bridge takes its name from Pierre Truche, a former magistrate who served as the first president of the Court of Cassation. He lived in this neighborhood for years, and city officials named the crossing for him shortly after the structure opened in the spring of two thousand seventeen.
