The Parc départemental Jean Moulin-les-Guilands stretches across the border of Bagnolet and Montreuil, marked by wide, rolling grassy plateaus and a stark contrast in elevation. It sits on what was once a dense patchwork of orchards, quarries, and small industrial plots that were largely abandoned by the mid-twentieth century. For years, this land served as a dumping ground. Locals eventually reclaimed the space, transforming the neglected industrial wasteland into a sprawling, interconnected public park that spans twenty-six hectares of restored urban landscape.
