Square Formagne

Square Formagne occupies a sharp, triangular plot where the streets of Pantin converge into a dense urban point. It features a dense canopy of trees that creates a deep pocket of shade against the surrounding gray concrete. This land belonged to the Formagne family, who ran a large carriage-making business on this site during the nineteenth century. When the workshop closed, the city turned the private industrial yard into a public garden. Iron gates still frame the entrance where horse-drawn carriages once passed.
